Cardiff teacher?s half marathon challenge for diabetes charity
A TEACHER whose friend lost her son and husband through diabetes complications is to run the streets of Cardiff to raise money for the charity which provides information on the condition. Ken East, of Llanishen, Cardiff, is preparing to take part in the Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday for Diabetes UK Cymru after friend Val Bull?s loved ones died after suffering heart attacks as a complication of their diabetes.

First trial of embryonic stem cells in humans
