Wales players show their support for World Diabetes Day
Members of the Welsh rugby team have swapped their kit for T-shirts to show their support for World Diabetes Day on Sunday. Members of the Welsh squad took time out from preparing for Saturday?s clash with South Africa to show their support by wearing T-shirts for World Diabetes Day, which is being celebrated on Sunday 14 November. Dai Williams, National Director, Diabetes UK Cymru, quoted.

Developing world warned of 'obesity epidemic'
Developing countries should act now to head off their own "obesity epidemic", says a global policy group. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) says obesity levels are rising fast.

NHS 'must improve care of elderly surgery patients'

NICE confirms no NHS funding for cancer drug Avastin

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has confirmed there will not be NHS funding in England and Wales for the anti-cancer drug Avastin. It is used to combat advanced bowel cancer and research shows the drug can give an extra six weeks of life.
