PUNJAB Healthcare Commission (PHC) Chairman Justice (R) Aamir Raza Khan has advised Health Department to ensure that all necessary measures in the light of relevant law and judicial decisions are taken to curtail the menace of quackery in Punjab.
According to a Press release issued here on Saturday, the letter, written to the Punjab Health Secretary, mentioned the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) laws as amended in pursuance of the 18th Amendment to the Constitution, stated that, vide a detailed notification issued on 5 January, 2010, had authorised Punjab Health Services Director General, all Executive District Officers (Health), all District Health and Deputy District Health Officers, as well as Medical Superintendents of Teaching, District and Divisional Hospitals, in addition to all members of PMDC to file complaints under PMDC Ordinance in the courts of Punjab.
