Hi everyone. First time here. Hope you're all good.

So, I got diagnosed as borderline diabetic hba1c of 42/43 in about March 2020. Since then I managed to get it under control with my last test-I think in march this year showing that it was still okay.

periodically though, I get headaches which can take a day or more to subside. Does anyone else get these? and what might be the cause?
I have a feeling it might be dietary. In spite of losing a lot of weight since the March 2020 my weight has crept up again and in particular I do find it hard to avoid carbs and sugars indefinitely.

Any help or resources to understand more about this condition would be great. Keen to get it solved as I have epilepsy too and I know that the two arent very pleasant bedfellows.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum @Welshman

Glad to hear you’ve been able to keep your HbA1c below the threshold for a diagnosis with diabetes 🙂

If your BG levels are periodically raised (which isn’t something an HbA1c would be able to show you, as it’s more of an average) this can lead to dehydration which could cause headaches?

Do you think the headaches may follow carbier days?
