or badly trained.

Hubby had to go tot he hospital yesterday to see about getting an op on his knees. One of the tests was a (I think) litmus test on a wee sample.

The nurse then pronouced why didn't you tell us you are diabetic 😱 and wondered why hubby sat and laughed.😛

Anyway according to the nurse and his latest up to date training hubby is diabetic and has to see our GP. No one in our house has noticed any of the symptoms, classic or otherwise. Personally I can't wait for the out come if only to prove this arrogant not all knowing idiot wrong...

Hi Caroline, some people can have diabetes with no signs of it showing what so ever. So if that's the case then a good spot by the nurse. So even if a mistake has been made by the result it's better to have it checked out rather than ignoring it and paying the price at a later date.

He has an appoinment witthe practice nurse at our surgery next week so will have a chat then and see what happens.

Hi Caroline

I didn't have any symptoms either that I knew of, since then I think the odd night cramp probably was but as a glass of water before bed sorted it I never gave any health issu a second glance.

My T2 was picked up on pre-op tests 3 years ago.

This prompted my younger brother & sister to get checked out as my dad & uncle also had/have T2. They are both thankfully fine.

Since then my older brother has also been diagnosed with it. Symptoms don't always show.

Regards
Lynne

Thanks for replies I'll make a note and leave it for him to see so he can at least set things in motion...
