Hba1c

Hi,

I recevied my hba1c yesterday I am quite surprised with such a high number it goes like this

Before dx 9.6
Dx 9 weeks ago
D/E no meds
Feb BGS 6.1 Hba1c 7.2

6 weeks later
March BGS 5.1 Hba1c 7.1

All my home readings are between 5-7.3 I use an accu chek nano
GP said they seem fine but I thought I would have had a lower Hba1c this time.

Any replies appreciated

Hi Angie sounds abit like mine hun ,my current one is 7.2 and my old gp said right still not good so good we must talk to you about injecting, despite in the past my first hbA was 9.4 i got it down to 7.1 and he said great, so that sound mad to me but hay ho.

Anyways well done on the reduction your getting it down thats the main thing x

also hun its only 6 weeks since last test ..normally they would wait for 3 months between tests so see what it is after 3 month s Im sure it will be even lower!🙂
