My HBA1c test has come back higher than the last one, 5.4, up from 5.2 Not a bad score and considering I have been through a lot of stress I am not overly concerned. BP. Kidney, Liver, Thyroid and Cholesterol, Eyes all O.K.
Have lost weight, now 8.9 so will have to try and gain a bit. This is the difficult one for me as I am so set in my ways with regard to eating habits. Dr. puts the weight loss down to stress, will have to learn to de-stress so it's back to Tai Chi for me.

Good to hear that your checks have come back good - and 5.anything is pretty bloomin marvellous as far as I'm concerned.

Hope the destressing goes well, and your weight stabilises 🙂

I'd kill for a 5.4 :D Well done for keeping it down there!

5.4 is a great number Maisie, especially, as you say, with all that you have been through. Hope you can manage to put a bit of meat on! 🙂

Good job......:D

Maybe you could eat pure fat, that wont effect the old blood sugars...:D

Well done 🙂

I find that nuts are generally good for putting on weight but not sending BG's stratospheric. Lots of useful minerals and oils in nuts too!

Likewise, I'd say 5.4 was nothing short of amazing! I was pleased to get 8.0 recently (my lowest for ages).

And yes, unsaturated fats were recommended to me too when I needed to gain weight. Things like nuts and seeds and olive oil...

Yep I'd love a 5.4 here! :D Well done, hope you manage to gain a few lbs - I could give you some of mine if you want?! Lol. If only eh....
