Hi Deb,
that's a very good result and a slight 0. something higher is nothing to worry about.
I'm well and trully brain dead at the moment so can't remember H's details. If he's a teenager then fantastic result as dealing with hormones. How long as H been diagnosed for?

whats a slight 0 ? hes been diagnosed 15 months and hes 16 -17 in july. I didnt think about hormones! -that would have been helpful for them to say

I would say that is excellent too, particularly given his age, as it's only a slight variance on before. When was the last one done? I get mine every 6 months and the winter one is usually a bit worse than the summer one 🙂

A slight nought point something rise 🙂 Ah so hormones plus honeymoon will all interact with control. The same as illness/stress as in exams.
So H's result is very good. Do ask question's in front of him the more he absorbs the better.

last one was done 3 months ago- didnt like to say too much as I had sort of said alot already!!-I felt they were trying to push us along to adult care.-and I said point blank no -we will stay here until 18- and put that on his records- didnt feel particularly bonded with transition nurse as in a previos appt she had said H needed to get used to night Hypos-er no sort a correct ratio out!!!

Blimey! What a ridiculous and dangerous thing to suggest! 😱

That is scary that she would even consider saying that!! 😱 xx

so I said to them what was said to me by the transition nurse and I felt it should not have been said especially in those early days- all that was needed was a different ratio and a bit of calculating!-thanks for your thoughts- its put my mind at rest

A1c is fairly strongly weighted to the most recent few weeks, so just a few wobbly days might have caused that small rise.

Well done for picking up on the night hypos nonsense! What a mad thing to say 😱

Mad-!! I had a serious meltdown that day!!- H didnt see thank goodness- He has had a couple of random numbers[ 15.0 12.6] in the last week and a cold a few weeks ago.
