My hba1c went from 41 in January to 42 in July- rather disappointed. I had a full blood count last month and it is still 42. I'm on Citalopram and noticed that my pre meal readings with my gluconavii is about 4.2 which is lower than it used to be, this reading is quite regularly in the 4's now so I was surprised my hba1c is still 42? I have a pre booked hba1c 20th November, how can I get it down to 41 in this short time and how can I reduce hba1c over time . It has gone from 44 over 2 years ago .Thanks everyone

In practical terms there is no real difference between 41 and 42.

In the perspective of 44 2 years ago, a small drop to 43 in Jan 2022, and now 41/42 you are holding your own in the "struggle". Well done. I would see this as a great result and your BMI is also consistently good, so again well done.
