Went from 94 in August to 42 in November. Just got some results in and it's crept up to 45.

I am not too worried about this little risk, between diagnosis and the first test I was very strict with my diet. Since then, I've tried many 'risky' foods every week or so to see whether there's anything I can tolerate. Some were surprising and others were pretty terrible, as you'd expect!

So now I'm gonna concentrate on the things I know are OK and see if I can get under 42 before the next test.

Good result Mark, well done 🙂

Well done! It's worth testing things and you know how to get back on track too. It is hard not to get complacent so it's just as well we get tested 🙂

Good effort Mark! Think a couple of points is negligible compared to the halving!

My libre sensor is telling me I am out of range (high 8.5 low 4mmol) for only 4% of the time now and thats out of range is only for 15 mins or so after a meal, So starting to feel like I am getting on top of it.

A1C was 53 at last test but have another at the end of this month, hoping to come off Metformin.

What level of A1C constitutes remission and how long do you have to be there before they no longer classify you as diabetic (if at all I guess)?

Still great results, all positive Mark keep it up, I wouldn't get hung up on numbers unless they go up lots which they aren't 🙂

I think it depends on the rules the practice works by.
I think I got three Hba1cs at the top end of normal to 'qualify'.

thanks for the info. Remission by the end of the year an unrealistic target then - medication free will be my new aim instead

Well done Mark, you seem to have found a good balance between eating well and treating yourself. Keep it up! 🙂
