Hi
I’m struggling to understand why my HbA1c is 61 when the estimated report from my libre view says 50/51. Also my time in range on the app hasn’t dropped below 70%.
I’d would really welcome some advice please.
Thanks.

The estimate from libre is just that, an estimate. It’s only based on your average blood sugar which it also estimates. Libre doesn’t test blood. The blood test from your arm is based on your actual blood

Thanks for responding Lucyr. Just disappointed it’s so different so not a very good guide.

I think of the Libre's estimated hba1c as something else to track how I am doing separate to the real thing.
For me, the estimate was more than 20% lower.

Mines not perfect but also not far out.

Last Hba1c....51
corresponding Libre freestyle 2+ estimate.....49

My last HbA1c was 52, I think. I don't remember the estimate at the time, but now it's suggesting 50. Most likely about right. Not really accurate enough to mean anything much except (not surprising, so that's good), and not useful enough to bother looking at except rarely. TIR is much more practically useful.
