Just had the result of my first 6 monthly check since I was diagnosed. Managed to get my HbA1c from 112/113 at diagnosis to 39 so pretty happy with that. They have advised me to watch the fat intake having gone very low carb as my cholesterol is 0.1 over the normal range (?) this something to worry about? It seems a small difference to me.

It's the ratios rather than the total which matter most.
But that said, LCHF always increases good cholesterol ( HDL).

Were the medics serious when they worried about the 0.1 above the 'limit'?! Reducing fat is unlikely to help and just the usual with NHS/PHE low-fat mantra. Don't forget Total cholesterol isn't relevant as it's all the lipids ratios that are the right measures to use.

Well done! An impressive result and you should be very proud of your achievement 🙂
