Went to clinic yesterday.
Carol's HbA1C is 48 (6.5%)!!!!!!🙂
Carol has been having quite a few hypos lately at random times. So the consultant decided she could do with having a CGM for a week to see what's going on. He wants to know how high her sugars go before they drop.
He's going to arrange that for after the summer holidays.

We're off to the beach in a mo. Unfortunately, summer is finished and it's only about 20 degrees C. Luckily the sun is out.

Excellent Monica. Congratulations to you and C for the great A1c result 🙂

Good A1c - well done both of you - but unfortunately not at the expense of too many hypos. Shame that's tempering the enjoyment..

But the CGM should help !

Excellent result, now to keep it there without the hypo's!!

Monica that's just brilliant well done to all

Terrific news! Well done Carol 🙂 I hope the CGM can help her fine tune things even further 🙂

Great result! Let's hope the cgm sheds light on hypos.

Congratulations to both of you on a great HBA1C. Hope you have a brilliant holiday.

Sounds good. Hope she is able to get the hypos sorted out.

What is a CGM?

that's a great result.......apart from the hypos, but I suppose they can often come with excellent control.......

I am getting excited now about my pump, pump clinic at the start of September..........:D

Thank you all 🙂
I have to say though, that apart from carb counting lunch and dinner, I don't do anything anymore. I mostly let her get on with it all.

Marg - CGM is a continuous glucose monitor. It's attached to the body all the time and takes blood readings every so often. I don't know how often, but certainly a few times an hour, so it can trace what the sugar levels are. AJ Lang has got one.

Novorapidboi - good luck with your pump start!
