After caravanning 4 months in the summer with 2 weeks close to the sea (who can resist chips but thank goodness for kiddy cones!!) I deliberately put off my test by 4 weeks to get the worst out of my system. I know- who's being silly!
Anyway rang surgery last night and it's 46 - back in April it was 48 so am really really chuffed.

Just as well result is so good cos tried yet again to make appt with my new DSN but although their computer is now made up for the weeks before Christmas quess what. SHE IS ON LEAVE. We get back from hols on evening of 16th - she only works Mondays and Tuesdays so earliest I could get appt now in theory is 31 December - but computer not made up yet for then and they will not make appts more than 4 weeks in advance anyway! At this rate if I phone 17 December might get appt for 14 January if I am very lucky.

At least to see Dr have got a morning walk-in but don't want to spend time in a waiting room full of coughing sneezing children when at present I am not ill.

Terrific result! :D Well done! Sometimes the results really are unexpected when we think we MUST have done worse. And I have also been known to do that 'putting off the test to improve things' thing! 😱

Stupid situation regarding the DSN. With all this talk of hospitals being understaffed, perhaps they should also look at community staffing - it's pretty clear that if you have such difficulty getting an appointment, and there is no cover for leave, then staffing levels are inadequate for purpose. Hope you strike lucky in the lottery of trying to book an appointment! 🙂
