I'm pretty confident both measures, together with other measures like glucose variability (and the proportion under 3.9, over 10.0, etc., not just TIR) will be used for the foreseeable future. They're measuring different things (though overlapping to some extent), and I'm sure there are occasions when some are more appropriate than others.As you say many Type 2s like The Bixby may not have CGMs so are unaware of theTIR aspect and yes my next Hba1c is more out of curiosity than anything else.
