well it's now 3 months since my type 2 diagnosis and my blood results are in today.liver, kidney function normal ,cholesterol in the normal range, and Hba1c reading is 40.Lost 15 kg weight doing a relatively low carb diet and cycling over 600 miles since the start of february,so i'm well pleased with how it's all going. In this for the long haul and i've certainly felt so much better making these lifestyle changes.completed a 70 mile bike ride last saturday and surprisingly it seemed to spike my BG when i tested it back home, was 6.8,then down to 5.5 a few hours later, but it is what it is.overall i've no complaints and hopefully can keep the numbers good in the long term.

Well done! Great results! Keep it up. Best wishes 🙂

Fantastic results, keep up that good work. Lifestyle changes make us feel a lot better about ourselves and I bet you are proud of what you are now achieving. Keep us updated.

Hi greenboy990, congratulations! That's a great result.

Sounds as though you've had quite a journey that's inspirational to read. You should be more than pleased with yourself, I hope that things continue to improve for you.

Congratulations on your amazing progress @greenboy990

Really great stuff!

I wouldn’t worry too much about such a modest rise in BG levels or consider it a ‘spike’ unless your BG is rising by 3 or more points.

BG meters aren’t quite as precise as they appear, with the illusion of decimal point precision. Under the tightened ISO standard, differences of 15% from lab values are permitted, which means there can be quite a wide range permitted from a single sample on 2 different strips.
