HbA1c celebration!!

Just got my latest result. 49% and that would include the period when we were on holiday 5 weeks ago. This covers the whole period I have been on MDI. I am in control (at the moment anyway).

This compares to 101 before insulin last September and 71 in December after 11 weeks on insulin mix.

Just back from Dr who was grinning from ear to ear!! Cholesterol was 4.9 (LDL 2.5, HDL 2.1 Triglycerides 0.7) and thyroid 2.4 with normal kidney and liver. He doesn't want to see me for 6 months and has upped all items on prescription for 6 repeats - including Levemir. He asked me how it felt to be absolutely normaood news withl LOL - that I will never be!!! Thanks for all your comments as I have very few people locally to share my good news.
