I’ve got my six monthly HbA1c check coming up in about a week, and I just wondered how much effect the three days of greater eating and increased chocolate consumption will make to the reading.

I’m t2 that has improved my level to a low 40s score as I’ve been on a low carb diet, but I decided to have Easter ‘off’ - as I know I will be able to pick up again from next week.

I’ve read that the HbA1c tests the last 3 months, but is the most impact from the most recent past?

I believe the most impact is from the past month, so I don't think 2 or 3 days will make a massive difference

Thank you, and I hope not - although it’s obviously the most recent time. Really don’t want the score going up and the GP increasing my medication!
