A father who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes after finding he was constantly exhausted has completed a half marathon.
John Samson, 43, of Haywards Heath beat his time target by eight minutes, running the Brighton Half Marathon in two hours and 22 minutes.
He has raised more than £600 for Diabetes UK, which John hopes will help improve other people’s lives.
“It was a great experience, very humbling and the crowd support was truly amazing which certainly spurred me on,” said the accounts manager.
