Hayfever Eye Drops And Eye Photos?

A friend's daughter is having her eye photos for the first time tomorrow afternoon (12th) and she wants to know whether she is allowed to use her hayfever eye drops tomorrow morning. Does anyone know, please?

She'd need to know today as she uses her hayfever eye drops early in the morning. If no-one knows she'll try to do without them just in case.
 
Hi @TheClockworkDodo I can't be definite about this, but the potential problem is if the 2 types of drops react badly with each other to give side effects.
I have just got back from my screening today (I don't take hayfever eye drops) and the thing they used on me was Tropicamde 1% these make the pupil expand so that the photos get a good view through them.

I suggest your friend Googles the active constituent of the hayfever drops together with Tropicamide in order to look for adverse effects.

Don't forget it is wise to take sunglasses as her eyes will be very sensitive to light for several hours and of course she mustn't drive for 4 hours at least.
 
I see no reason why not.
I had mine done today. There was no question about whether I had used any other drops and no mention of any contra-indication in the leaflet they gave me at the time.
 
I didn’t use hay fever eye drops on the day of my review just in case. :D
 
I don’t think the retinal screening team would look kindly on eyes streaming due to hay fever. I haven’t been out today, but I got a pollen warning from the Met Office on the phone this morning.

There won’t be the slightest problem if she uses her drops, they will have no effect on the test at all.
