I should have foreseen what happened yesterday.

I took F and her baby sister to a soft play place near us while her brother was at a birthday party. As I have done in the past, I ordered toast and a jug of squash - and specifically asked if it was sugar-free squash, which they assured me it was.

I don't think it was! The toast was carb-counted as lunch, and I had checked her bloods once while we were there (16, but it was only half an hour after her usual pre-exercise choccy snack). She and her friend ran around, climbed and slid for nearly two hours. When we got home (after walking home fast), she was 25.7!

Still trying to get her down to "normal" levels. Nearly there... 🙄

Sorry to hear what happened Kei.

I hope the little one is feeling better now.

I always test dispensed drinks with Diastix, urine testing sticks from the chemists, fiver for 50. If it's out of a bottle or tin I don't. I don't know if it would work with a blood test meter as I've never tried it.

precisely why we are organising the campaign....more to come next week when Sarced Heart and I get our heads together a bit more xx
