Are you aged 18 years and above and living with any type of diabetes? Researchers at James Cook University are conducting an online survey to better understand self-care efficacy and the use of mobile phone application in diabetes management. We invite you to take part. Participants can go into a draw to win one of the available $50 Amazon gift card if they like.

How long will it take?

10 - 12 minutes.

You can participate whether you use any kind of app to manage diabetes or you don’t

Visit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3PBQY6R

Please remember to click on the submit button at the end of the survey.

The information you provide will allow us have insight into areas people living with diabetes encounter difficulties with self-management and also their perception on the use and preferred features in mobile applications to support diabetes self-care.

Done!

Done - I didn't want more than half the listed features cos I already have them on other devices I need to use anyway, but there was nowhere to make that clear.

Ha! Just what I needed to say too. I added a note about not wanting to duplicate effort in one of the boxes.

I would love an app that just seamlessly gathered all the bits of information from all the devices and displayed it nicely all in one place. Diasend/Glooko might do that eventually, but I'm not overly hopeful.

One of the hindrances to app use (and making better use of all the information we have) is that it is all separated out in little sandboxes and none of it will talk to anything else.

Done

Although it doesn't make it clear to start off with - the survey is all about medicated diabetics on insulin or tablets.
It is not applicable to diet controlled bods.

Done. Do I think exercise is important? Yes.
Can I do it ? No (not asked)

That saves me a job then thanks!

I didn't bother entering the draw incidentally - my likelihood of buying anything in $Aus is approximately zilch - though I could send the link to Alan Shanley I spose? Shall I, @everydayupsanddowns ? LOL

Hi Trophy,
It will be an Amazon e-Gift card in US $ and not Australian $ to be delivered to email. So if you win, it can be used to order online.

Hi Amigo,
The survey is applicable to people with all types of DM. I assume Drummer was referring to two questions specific to those taking insulin or other medications, those questions have been edited to accommodate those controlling with diet and exercise alone. Thank you.

Thanks Drummer for your comment. The survey is applicable to everyone with any type of diabetes. Those few questions have been edited to accommodate responses from those controlling with diet alone.
