THROUGHOUT her life Emma Bailey has had to fight to stay healthy.
The 10-year-old lives with having to take a cocktail of medication to keep her Type 1 diabetes under control.
Now Emma, from Leigh Park, is taking her fight for more funding for research into the disease all the way to the House of Commons.
The Bosmere School pupil has a date for a meeting with MPs to urge them to put cash into finding a cure for the illness, which affects 400,000 people in the UK.
She will be speaking on behalf of the charity JDRF.
