Hi everyone, I just wondered if anyone has used the miaomiao with freestyle libre sensors?
I use the libre sensors (self funded) and love them but I had a really bad hypo last week and I need something that will give me an alarm when I go low. I had the hypo at night and my husband woke me up, checked my sugars and treated me. If he wasn't there I wouldn't have been able to treat myself or call for help as I wasn't "with it" enough! I am supposed to be going away in a few weeks time and staying overnight on my own. I don't want to cancel but am scared! I want something that will alarm when I go low. My nurse suggested miaomiao. Any reviews or other suggestions welcome! Thanks x

I believe MiaoMiao (or ambrosia blucon) ships directly from China, and it can take a while to get here. Might be worth investigating delivery times for your trip.

As a fallback you could always set one (or more) alarms on your phone to wake you to scan. I often do this when travelling away from home alone. It's a bit of a pain, but it effective. Additionally you could reduce your basal overnight and otherwise 'be cautious' with evening meal dose to attempt to ensure a slight upward trend of numbers rather than aiming for level.

There are a few forum threads on MiaoMiao which you can search for or try these:

Thanks Mike, I didn't think about shipping time!! I'll look into that. And I'll have a look at those threads too. Yeah, the waking up thing is an option but I'm going away for a retreat to help with tiredness and mental health so would possibly defeat the object of going!
