Went to see my pain management consultant at hospital. By the way I go to 3 different hospitals for different things. He changed my medication. " I'll send your gp a letter he should get it in a week. Here's one for you to take yourself to speed things up." 2 weeks later booked appointment to see him. Not had letter told me I didn't need appointment office would change my medication. This is morphine we're talking about not paracetamol. Said hospitals fault no communication. Not had a letter for last 6 months. Next hospital appointment. I myself and I. Realised doctor has new premises so new address. Aha! Problem solved it's because of new address he's not had letters. Asked to change my doctors address. Told not allowed doctors responsibility to do that. He's slagging hospital off. All along his fault. Apparently it's protocol. My not so good gp (if he couldn't sign my scripts would be useless) has not bothered to follow protocol. This is why nhs gets such a bashing no communication.
