I do low carb and restrict my calories to 1200 but it's bloodly hard and I wonder if this drug could help me loose a bit more weight. My GP of course was not interested 'oh we can't prescribe that'. Wondering if anyone's been on it and if it worked and how did you get it prescribed? Mrs M. struggling not to eat too much.

There was a similar question recently. To get it prescribed for diabetes control you need to go through the pathway of medications with none of them working to get it prescribed, and usually by a hospital specialist.

I have been on it, I stopped it because it didn’t work and made no difference whatsoever for me personally.

Was reading or listening somewhere from the creator of this drug that as soon as you stop taking it the weight comes back.

Yeah that’s right because if the ozempic works to reduce your appetite then you’d feel comparatively starving when you come off it. I didn’t get this though since I didn’t experience a change in hunger levels when taking it.

Hey @Mrs Mimoo

There is currently a shortage of Ozempic at the moment, I believe it's expected to last for the remainder of the year, so due to the shortage no new patients are set to be put on Ozempic. You could perhaps ask for an alternative if it's something you're still interested in taking?

Despite being on the weight loss surgery path via NHS, I've been unable to get initiated on GLP-1RA medication like Ozempic through my GP, even though I have Type 2 diabetes. However, I'm still interested in using GLP-1RA medication to help with weight loss. Can anyone suggest private healthcare providers who can prescribe GLP-1RA medication such as Ozempic? I would greatly appreciate any information on how to find such providers.
