A DRAMA group will step back in time to help deliver important messages about diabetes at an awareness-raising event in Hartlepool this weekend.
The town’s Roaring Mouse drama group for people with learning disabilities, is supporting a national diabetes charity with a specially created performance set in the First World War.
The Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation (DRWF) is hosting a Wellness Day for people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes at the Hartlepool Maritime Experience for the fourth year in a row on Saturday from 9.30am to 4pm.
It features talks by diabetes specialists, including those based at the University Hospital of Hartlepool, and talks from diabetes patients.
