A Harrogate man has been using his 3D printer to make masks for health care professionals throughout Yorkshire.
“They’ve gone to ambulance crews, community nurses, a hospital switchboard and I’m delivering 25 to a care home tomorrow,” says Sid.
Sid, of Harrogate, who worked in retail before the crisis, is also in discussion with local NHS procurement teams across the region to see if they would use his masks.
“Each mask only costs about 40p in material. I 3D print a frame that can the ring binder sheets attaches to. I hole punch those and pop them on. It’s simple” Sid added.
Yorkshire doing its bit 🙂
