Just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has replied to my previous threads, the support here has been a great help to me.

I finally saw a consultant today, who was brilliant, she really listened to me!

I have had blood taken to check for antibodies so will see if I am T1, she didn't think I was LADA due to the volume of insulin I am on. I also asked about a pump and she said that I would be able to have one, but need to do a DAFNE type course they run at the hospital first. The next available rotation is in Feb/Mar.

I really feel like I've got somewhere today.

Fantastic news Chips, glad you have found someone to listen to you and action being taken to help you.

Thanks Sue,

I just feel like a weight has been lifted from me. :D

Excellent news, it makes such a difference when someone takes the time to listen to you - I wish they all could learn that valuable lesson 🙂 Sounds promising about the pump too!

Hi Northerner,

I was surprised about the pump, but Dr said not to worry about the funding as that was not a problem at all.

Nest appointment in 2 months! 🙂
