I so agree with you, I tell Mrs Alan I love her at least twice a day, when we wake up in the morning and before we go to sleep and probably a couple of times during the day. This is me and Mr Eggy’s 50th Valentines Day. I’ve probably had half a dozen cards and or presents in that time, mostly in the early days ie the 70s! It doesn’t bother me as as Mr Eggy rightly says, and he’s not often right, “it shouldn’t need a special day to tell you I love you”. He might me right but would it kill him to buy me a box of chocolates once in a while?
PS he’s making the tea tonight, filet steak and all the trimmings. That’s better than lining Hallmark/ the local petrol station/Spar’s pockets! 😉
Same here. We’ve been through a lot these last twenty odd years. Quadruple bypasses, six heart attacks, more stents than you can shake a stick at ( all Mr Eggy). Pancreatitis, tumour, distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy, every gastric issue known to man ( all me). We say we love each other every single day too. We laugh all the time and genuinely enjoy each others company. Yes, we annoy the hell out of each other sometimes but it’s never serious.I so agree with you, I tell Mrs Alan I love her at least twice a day, when we wake up in the morning and before we go to sleep and probably a couple of times during the day.
With love, we look after each other on a daily basis, she got me through a major operation, which wasn't easy (AAA, google is your friend). we listen to each others problems with empathy and understanding.
True love is so much more than a card and saying I love you, on one day of the year, it's about being there for each other, no matter what.
Ah, that’s lovely.Hubby woke up very grumpy this morning as our cat was restless and spent the night jumping on the bed or his chest.
He cheered up a bit when I made him breakfast and exchanged cards.
Valentines presents this year are 2 grapevines, together with our existing one we might have enough grapes in a few years to make a bottle or two of wine. Hopefully for our golden wedding anniversary![]()
Depends how the wine turns out. Hubby is very new to this wine making lark. If it's not drinkable we can always turn it to wine vinegarAh, that’s lovely.
We’ve made “wine” from our grapes a few times. Hmmm….the jury’s still out! I’ve been using it to clean the kitchen sink! 😛Depends how the wine turns out. Hubby is very new to this wine making lark. If it's not drinkable we can always turn it to wine vinegar![]()
