Hello everyone a special happy new year to all the parents on this forum.

We survived the christmas and new year period though of course JP had a few highs and his lowest ever low (1.1 - when his legs just buckled beneath him and he banged his head on a coffee table as he fell, poor kid was holding his head screaming as I was saying first thing first blood test! Still he was fine after a few minutes)

Today he had his 3 monthly review and generally things were good. His HbA1C is down to 7.8 and we got thumbs up on overall management, though we shouldn't have been so honest about his snacks being mostly crisps because of course the dietitian wanted to encourage other healthier snacks - yeah right!)

So here's to another year of challenges and joys and the courage to face them with a smile 🙂

Love Rachel and JP

Happy New Year to you and JP too.🙂

Crisps are healthy, aren't they???🙄 Carol doesn't want to eat healthily either.

Wow, 1.1!!!! Did JP manage to eat/drink glucose or did you have to use gel?

Carol's lowest was 1.7 and she didn't even feel it until she saw the numbers.

Hi Rspence,

Happy New Year to you too and to JP. Sounds like you handled the hypo well and your doing great at clinic - well done.🙂Bev
