I was going to suggest Working Hands too. Ours was in a flat tub, but heat sealed on a card backing at purchase, so youwould know it was untouched when you got it. That may not help though?

Some of those areas look extremely sore and I'm not sure if cream as such will help much. I had some really bad blisters on all my fingers on one hand and the nurse at the surgery applied some impregnated dressings (Atrauman they were called) then covered with micropore type dressing. It worked magic improvement in a few days and completely healed in a week. Steroid creams are often prescribed for allergic skin rashes and they do work quite well for short term use.
Thanks but I couldn't wear dressings xx

That;s exactly what I use overnight but I was wanting a thinner tube of cream for quick applications throughout the day xx

The problem is the pump bottle would have to come in a box, I can't touch anything that I know someone else will have definitely touched and I even if I've used alcohol wipes on things I still can't touch them without washing my hands :(

I used to use Diprobase but as it's an emollient I can't stand the layer it leaves and have to wash it off so it's totally pointless

Thanks though 🙂 xx
Simple solution would be to buy from a chemist get them to put in bag then use a spray on disinfectant once you are home.
I suggested the Epaderm as it does not leave a layer on your skin and if you use it as a soap it's washed off anyway.

I'll take a look at the Cerave, I used Sudocrem for a while but for some reason the smell turns my stomach xx

Bepanthen has very little smell at all. Nothing like Sudocrem that does smell medicinal.

Duh! I never even thought of trying Bepanthen on them and it's what we've used on our tattoo's! xx

My left hand looks nowhere near as bad and I would even go as far as saying they dont look like they belong to the same person! XxScreenshot_20210627-195504_Gallery.jpg

Must be so frustrating for you @Kaylz - as ‘does it come in a box’ isn’t really searchable :(

Hope you find something that works well, and doesn’t trigger your OCD

What about a homeopathic cream ? Would you try that ? Xx

It is, I did try searching "tube of hand cream boxed" etc but not much results xx

Although fine for other "normal" people my OCD brain doesn't see things like other people do, the bathroom guys sprayed everything with sanitiser spray when they finished but I still spent an hour cleaning it every time they left, my brain doesn't trust things like everyone else can

To be honest I don't know what your talking about lol, I'd give any tube of cream supplied in a box a try given it was in my price range lol xx

Why do you need a tube?
why is the tub not suitable, as that comes in a blister pack?

Yes that’s what I mean really. It isn’t an attribute that most cream manufacturers would consider pivotal to their search criteria, so the boxed creams may not state that they are, or only some of them would. Mostly what seemed to be returned for me were gift sets.

Yes that's what I got too lol, I've bought a tube of Weleda skin food to give a bash as that's boxed and Bruce will be bringing it up tomorrow, just circumstances needs a quick tube squeeze and thinner cream rather than dipping my hand in a tub of pretty much thick paste xx

Would decanting some of these tube ones that don’t come in a box, or the one you like that’s in a larger tub, into a small little pot work? You can get some very small pots for salad dressings etc. Someone else could decant it into a little pot, and only you could touch the little pot?

Have you tried Calendula cream? It’s very healing, I used to use it for my kids' cuts and grazes as well as chapped skin. Nelsons is available from Amazon or Holland and Barrett, and seems to come in a box still (it always used to when I bought it,) I wonder if this was the homeopathic sort of thing that @Freddie1966 was thinking of.
It might work out too expensive, though, if you feel you need to slap it on. If you use a thin layer, it’s just as effective and last ages, but it is around a fiver for a 30ml tube, which is quite small.

I’ve used Weleda Skin Food and it was pretty good for me. Had quite a nice scent if I remember?

@Kaylz - Would your partner, or your Mum help you decant some cream into a reusable tube that could be refilled as many times as you need it to be?

I have been really so impressed by Lidl's own Cien brand of handcream, in the "Intensive" variant. It disappears in a moment and carries no heavy scent. How about if it could be taken from a fresh box, into a food bag you took into the store? Nobody would have touched it before you?

If you wanted to decant something, then our Lidl currently have refillable silicone tubes, in a pouch, sold in a sealed package.

Finally, if you have a cream you like but it's a bit "heavy", you could add something like a little aloe vera gel to make it a little thinner? That would ten go into a reusable tube, small squeezy bottle or pump maybe a pump pot, from say, handwash, for dispensing.
