Hi, my name is Heike and I am originally from Germany. We moved to Sheffield about 20 years ago after my husband left the army.

I was diagnosed with T2 12 years ago and have been on insulin for the last 2. I had problems with insulin resistance at first, but have now achieved good results with carb counting and injecting accordingly. Wish I found this site before I have learnt so much more in the last couple of days.

Welcome to the site

I am also a T2 insulin user, I think we are in the minortiy

This is a great place to chat and ask questions - you never feel alone

As my school girl German is bad so I will just say - cheerio for you

Regards, Hazel

Wilkommen Heike, meine kleine Kartofelnblumen! That's my school German exhausted!🙂

I used to live in Sheffield - wonderful city, and how much it has changed over the past 20 years! And the glorious Peak District on the doorstep, I'm sooo jealous - why did I ever move?!!!

Hope you get as much from these boards as I have done (and continue to!).🙂
