Had letter from hospital this morning, nova rapid half pen finally been put through to my doctor. Hospital are happy with my excellent progress, all checks done and good results, back in September for yearly check. So I’m treating myself to a jam and cream donut and ear candling treatment
 
Half pens are great - my DSN when I was first diagnosed gave me a half pen for my bolus as that tends to need to be fine tuned and a 1U pen for the basal. She also put it on the notes to the GP so they are both on repeat so I have a spare of each.

I could therefore swap the basal to a 1/2U pen really but whole units seem to be just fine for that. On the bolus though they are fantastic for a little more granular control, especially when it comes to corrections...
