Hi Guys.
Has anyone had any experience of hair thinning due to metformin or increase in dosage of same?
My dosage was increased from 500mg twice daily to 850mg twice daily 6mths ago (disagree with that but that's a different story), I've noticed my hair thinning in the last month or two. I'm also on cholesterol and blood pressure meds but after 3 yrs on these I dont feel they are a contributor.

When did other blokes in your family start getting wider foreheads?

They haven't, My Dad is 76 and great hair for that age. My brothers are all younger but no hair issues.
I just feel it was a bit sudden. My wife cut my hair a few months back during lockdown and would have noticed this thinning i can see today.

Well I'd strongly suspect your Thyroid being the problem then too. What was your last TSH level?

Repurposed word
Balderdash - a rapidly receding hairline.

Still worth talking to your GP and asking if there's anything within your test results or he otherwise knows about you, that could explain it.

Hope you get some answers @Don01
