Well, I've just been to visit my lovely vampire today to give a donation.

My last reading was 6.1%, up from the previous one. My self monitoring shows that I average just over 5 mmol/L before meals but go up over 7 mmol/L after meals and stay there for a few hours.

I'm expecting an increase.

So anyone want to take a guess? Results expected on Friday.

A packet of virtual jellybabies and a gold star to the closest :D

I will go for a maintain of 6.1 good luck!

I'll go fora small improvement at 42 (6.0)

As hopefully you will recive a nice surprise I'll go 5.8%.

Looking forward to the jelly babies!!

Rats just realised this figure has already been claimed so I'll go even lower at 5.6 unless Northerner is willing to share the jelly babies (I like the red ones).

6.2 but only because every number I wanted below 6.1 has already been claimed!

You're welcome to the green ones when we win 🙂

Well, it was a 5.9% - which surprised me

So well done to MaryPlain, you get the virtual jellybabies and gold star!

Mark well done a pleasent surprise is the best kind 🙂

Thanks Steff 🙂

Although the added complication is that because my HbA1c has essentially stayed the same (5.8 -> 6.1 -> 5.9), the consultant thinks it's unlikely that I'm going to be a Type 1.5. He was expecting my HbA1c to keep on getting a little worse.

Which is good in that it crosses out one unknown at least.
