A St Peterport?s man with Type 1 diabetes is set to scramble along the island?s Southern coastline in his epic coasteering challenge to raise money for Diabetes UK from 8 ? 9 June.
Coasteering is the art of moving along the coast by rock scrambling, rock traversing, caving, swimming and leaping from cliffs. Matthew Ferguson, 33, makes up the team of a dozen locals involved in the one day feat named ?Graniterash?.
Being the first of its kind, the Channel Island challenge has attracted local celebrity support from Sam Cochrane, Guernsey Football Club Captain, and Tamara Timothy from Channel Television who will join them on smaller sections over the course of the weekend.
