A SUPPORT group for disabled children has made massive strides in recent months after being officially recognised by the NHS.
Hemi Hearts will now be supported by the service after setting up as an independent group in May last year to help children with hemiplegia.
The NHS will regularly offer support and engage with the group, which meets on the last Friday of every month at the United Reformed Church in Chaddesden.
The NHS had stopped providing group support for families whose children have the condition when they reached the age of three but Hemi Hearts has many members above that age.
