Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
hi my name isMark Ryalls and I have type 2 diabetes for approx 2 years. I am in need of some advice and or support with regards to my sugar levels!
For the past three weeks my levels have fluctuated between 12-20.4 some days it's over 15 and it beginning to frighten me a wee bit. I don't feel as though I am having any reactions apart from excessive sweating around my head ,face ,neck area it's quite bad, is that a sign of high blood sugars? Any advice is really very much appreciated. Thank you all . Mark:confused:

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum 🙂 I'm sorry to hear about the problems you are having - is there any particular time of the day you are getting these symptoms? Are you on any medication for your diabetes?

Welcome to the forum Mark/Sapper 🙂

Blood sugar checked @ 0645 hrs, 1300hrs @ 1830hrs! I'm really very worried about my readings. metformin 500mg x 3 Daily.

Hello Mark. Those readings are simply unacceptable. Please go back to your GP and get things sorted. It may be that the metformin is not enoughand other medication is required. An example of readings which are more what you should be aiming for are 4-7mmol/L before meals and 7-9mmol/L two hours after eating.

Hello Sapper, and welcome to the forum. Have your BG readings increased recently or have they been that high for a while?

Hi Sapper and welcome.🙂

Thank you

Thanks for the advice I will make an appointment to see my GP 🙂tomorrow. The readings are very high and its important.

Welcome Mark, I hope the appointment goes well tomorrow, let us know how you get on
