The excellent news is that I've found a great GP at my surgery. She started recently and is very thorough. She'd even read my notes before she saw me!!
In summary from today's appointment:
Referral to neurologist because of weak sensation in arms and legs which keeps coming and can be really horrible.
Once I've got a copy of my hearing loss results from the hearing people at Boots the GP will refer me to the hospital's ear, nose and throat department. She said that really I need a multi disciplinary approach because of the everything that is going on with me but looks like GP will coordinate as much she can.
GP also said that I will almost certainly need MRI scans for both brain and ears but she can't arrange an open scan because of funding so I'm going to see if I can find the money for it because it very expensive. But then if I do arrange it I will at least have any results before hospital appointments. My brain scan four years ago was normal.
She has put my anti-dizziness tablets on repeat prescription and we also agreed a one month trial of HRT patches.
GP completely wants me to get back to having a good life.
PS GP notes confirmed arthritis in right hip and lower back/pelvis but walking was definitely better this weekend thanks to the amitriptylene 🙂

If you can tolerate the HRT patches, they will help any calcium loss from the bones. Sounds like a GP to keep hold of. 🙂

Thanks Grovesy and Mikey. Mikey that's a good point about preventing calcium loss. She's giving me a month on them to see if they improve how I feel so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed 🙂

Glad she's working for you AJ.

Thank you everyone. I so hope she stays.
