missed a call on the mobile this morning then missed it again at dinner but then the landline rang only for Maxillo with the cancer screening results and sods law it has only come back positive result.

i did know something was adrift on visit to dentist when a growth had returned and it was bigger than the first one which at that stage came back as benign.

sat here and took it out on 4 sausages bang goes the diabetes again.

am not going to let this thing beat me i promise.

So sorry to hear your news.

So what do you think the next steps are likely to be?

@mikeydt1 oh I am sorry to hear that.
You know we are all here when you need us!!

Aw, @mikeydt1, so sorry to hear this. (((Hugs)))

I am new on the forum but after a while lurking I have followed your story so am sorry to hear your latest news. Hopefully they will sort some treatment out for you, on the positive side you have a prompt diagnosis. A friend had undiagnosed throat cancer after repeated visits to specialists over 2 years but had very successful treatment and was running half marathons 6 months later, not that I'm suggesting you do that. So keep positive.

So sorry to hear this @mikeydt1 Sending you a big hug and my sincere wishes that this can be sorted easily.

I am sorry to hear this result @mikeydt1 and I agree, don't let it beat you.

Is 4 sausages bad? I just ate 8 no excuse I'm just mad about Wall's sausages.

Sorry to hear this @mikeydt1

Hang in there dude. We are all rooting for you.

And so it goes on Mikey damn right you aint giving up and let it beat you
we`re all here for you, take care mate man {{{HUGS}}}

Sorry to hear the news, @mikeydt1 :( But, as @Leadinglights said above, you have a prompt diagnosis, so the outlook is positive.

Hang in there, and keep us posted on how you are doing ... we are expecting good to come out of this tough diagnosis!

sorry i didn't come back on basically sometimes i have to shut myself down to stop the hurt now up and running again.

this is how stupid it got. i received a letter from Maxillo this morning which was when i attended and in it the surgeon mentioned that he had reassured me that there was nothing sinister then i got the phone call which told me other wise . they make you wonder sometimes. surely it is best to wait till they have the results in before coming to any conclusions.

it is only very early stages so will see how things pan out.

very grateful for the messages.

Be kind to yourself @mikeydt1

Sorry that the flow of information hasn’t always been consistent and sensitively done :(

i can now provide an update. half week in treatment woke up a couple of days in and only started to get nausea and then wanted to be sick. again this morning woke up okay but later this morning felt sick.

the other downer is that it does cause joint pains but with rest it does ease.

luckily i so happen to have a practice chemist telephoning in the morning and will take the opportunity to discuss as there is a specific anti-sickness med they can prescribe which i have had when on a horrible antibiotic which makes you feel really sick.

i am okay with most stuff but not the nausea side apart from that i do feel a lot better than a few weeks ago so things are getting there slowly but surely.

something curious. just wondering why it says to take histamine with the medication so if anyone knows then do let me know. i do happen to have anti histamine as i suffer with skin allergies.

Can you ask that chemist about the anti histamine on the phone?

Jan i did ask about the anti-histamine and apparently it is to stop any irritation only thing i don't like is that the stuff can dry up the mucous membranes some times too much.
