Just had my annual diabetic review (I don’t see them any other time about it). I knew my Hba1c was 42 but was delighted to find my cholesterol down from 6.4 to 5.4 (still a work in progress).
My weight had remained the same (they have inaccurate, kind scales) and my feet are pink and pulsing well!
My b/p did it’s usual white coat hypertensive leap but I expected that and will undoubtedly get a call back suggesting I re-test. Happens every time a medic comes near me.
Had my flu and second part of pneumonia jab.
I had a look at my other blood results and predictably they are on the rise in line with the leukaemia but one issue at a time and the nurse isn’t involved with that side of things.
She said she didn’t know what I was doing right but to keep on doing it (but don’t forget to live a bit too...nice advice). She said without diabetic meds or statins and with other very serious health problems, my result were ‘outstanding’. Shucks, I might just have a chocolate biscuit to celebrate! 🙂
