Just thought I'd pop in again for a catch up 🙂 so how is everyone doing? They say things come in 3's and that happened last week, first my favourite finger pricker broke! :(, then one of the ring nobs came off the cooker and to top it all off a bit then broke off the inside of the door on one of the fridges 🙄, worrying text received yesterday morning telling me my grandad was being taken to hospital with breathing difficulties to then be told 10 minutes later that they got it wrong and the paramedics just dealt with him where he was!! (got my self in a right mess! :(, he's had a cold for over a week and we've been telling him everyday that he needs to use his inhalers more but he wouldn't listen, paramedics told him to use his inhalers more and he'll be just fine 🙂), I've an appointment with the diabetes consultant tomorrow afternoon, I know my hba1c isn't going to be very good this time around but to be honest I'm glad I am able to relax more about not being 'perfect' readings now, anyway enough of me how are all of you? xx

Hi @Kaylz, good to hear from you 🙂 Sorry to hear about your mishaps and grandad, glad he's OK 🙂

I hope your appointment goes well 🙂 Good to hear you are more relaxed about things 🙂

Cheers Northie 🙂, he said he wasn't feeling 100% this morning but was feeling much better by this afternoon 🙂, got right wound up and in a state about it though, you don't text that kind of thing in my opinion but hey ho

Cheers about the appointment, at least there will be no lectures on how I'm risking losing hypo awareness etc, feeling much more relaxed, even considering starting having some toast at about 8:30pm, just a few questions about it first and hoping to have supper either tomorrow or Wednesday night! Big step eh? xx

Hi Kaylz, glad to hear you are ok. Best wishes to Grandad and good luck for your appointment tomorrow. No changes in the scouse house, all good atm :D

Hi Kaylz, good to hear from you. Things always go in threes! Hope your Grandad goes on OK, and Good luck with the consultant tomorrow.

Wotcha Kaylz. 🙂

Nice to hear from you @Kaylz , and good to hear you sounding so chipper. Sounds like life is settling a bit these days after the bumpy road you had around diagnosis and sorting your food out. Are you managing to pad your bones a bit these days?

It was my favourite finger pricker though!! Haha, it was an accu chek fastclix but not the short stubby fat ones you get it was long and slim, the srubbier ones pack a bit more of a punch! Haha, thanks 🙂 xx

Haha no i can't say I'm padding out much at all really I'm afraid, very surprised considering I eat a tonne of butter every day, at least 1 egg and a babybel! We'll see if I've gained anything tomorrow though as refuse to weigh myself at home as it just got too upsetting for me, hoping my blood pressure is up a bit tomorrow as was rather low again last week when I was up seeing the nurse about an unrelated matter xx

It's good that you are slightly more relaxed about your D these days.

Good to see you back and more relaxed Kaylz. Good luck with your appointment

Hiya love, good to see you popping in. Sorry to hear you've had some misfortune but glad to hear you're more relaxed about your next hba1c. Let's just say it's a good job mine isn't soon with what I ate on Sunday (a cheeky late birthday afternoon tea with my bestie!). I'm enjoying being a lady of leisure for a while.
