Good evening all
I very new to this sort of thing but here I am. I have had some struggles with getting help and information from my doctor since being told I was type2 diabetic but one of my lovely customers at work told me about this forum so thought I would come join and help if I can.

Welcome to the forum
Would you like to say a bit more about your situation, how long have you been diagnosed, what is your HbA1C,are you on any medication and how do you manage your condition, I know this sound like the third degree but it really helps people make appropriate comments.
Do have a look around the forum there are lots of threads some of which are a bit more light hearted, some with meal ideas and others more serious technical topics.

Welcome to the forum @ediemay

And how nice that someone recommended the forum to you. I wonder if they are a member?

Have you been living with diabetes for long?

You might like to register with the Learning Zone which is packed with bite-sized modules to help you add to the information you’ve picked up already. The Learning Zone is under the orange tab in the main menu above 🙂

Sorry
I was diagnosed September 2022 my HbA1C was very high can't remember what the was now, I am due to have my bloods tomorrow so will see what they like in a couple of weeks but in the 1st 6mth I managed to bring them right down to 1 point over a "normal " persons count and managed to keep that stable for the next count. I dropped 1 of my metformin because of this (was taking 1000 in the morning and evening) but in the last couple of days I have started taking the 2nd pill again in the evenings as I have been struggling with my sweet tooth again as a comfort thing as i stressing out over my up coming wedding. I lost over 2 and half stone in the last 18mths.

No need to apologise. Well done on the weight loss and getting blood glucose down. The extra metformin may help a bit but as I sure you know it is diet that is just if not more important.
If you are into baking then some of the recipes on sugarfreelondoner for cakes and biscuits may satisfy your 'sweet' tooth.
I must admit that having reduced sweet things then everything tastes too sweet so I am put off having them.
