Hi all :D

Hope to tap your knowledgeable persons and meet some folk on the same path. I started carb counting 12months ago and I'm very happy with it 😛 however in the last 6months I've cut down hugely on the carbs and feel vastly better for it, plus lost a couple of stone however I'm still reading doc Bursteins diabetes solution but I really don' think I can totally do without like he suggesting- is anyone here on this type of diet? I get all the upsides but sometimes I just want a flipping biscuit with my brew 😱 and just a total no no! Any thoughts or advice to stay strong?x

Hi Becca, welcome to the forum 🙂 Bernstein is a bit extreme, I think, although I do know people who have had great success with it. I find around 100-150g carbs a day is fine for me 🙂

Hi Becca - I agree with Northerner, everything in moderation. I tend to have around 100g carbs a day. Some days more, some days a lot less. I do enjoy the odd biscuit with my cuppa🙂

Hello Becca and welcome 🙂

I'm with Northerner and Steph, I have about 90-110g carbs per day and if I really want a biscuit then I'll bolus for it and enjoy it! 🙂

Good to hear you feel so much better since reducing your carb consumption, I hope you can find a happy level to settle on🙂
