The captain of Tadmarton Heath Golf Club is gearing up to play 90 holes on Sunday for Diabetes UK.
Duncan White has so far raised more than ?13,000 as part of his fundraising campaign as men?s captain this year, and will tee off at 5am and look to finish the same day at 6pm.
He said: ?I?m really looking forward to it actually. I?m pretty relaxed as I play about four times a week, I just hope the weather holds up as well.?
All money raised from the event will help fund a research project to generate an ?artificial pancreas?. It works by using a continuous glucose monitor and an insulin pump and aims to help improve the quality of life for sufferers of the Type 1 condition.
