Just starting to worry about what food i should take for the flight, its 9 hours for the first and then we have 4 hours stop so can get food there and then a 4 hour flight.

I really worry what snacks i can have in general as trying to lower carbs but all snacks have carbs.

After hypo feelings last week i have invested in some jelly babies, digestive biscuits and jaffa cakes! obviously i wont be doing exercise on the plane so wont need Jaffa's (shame) but should i just take digestives or should i make a sandwich?

worried as i cant just ask for food if its not feeding time..

Thanks in advance.

I never go anywhere without my emergency banana! A wholemeal sandwich with a protein filling sounds like a good idea. I'm sure if you were feeling a hypo coming on, the cabin crew would provide you with a dring /biscuit etc if you explained. Won't they be offering you regular meals snacks anyway?

firstly hope you have a great hol spirit

like runner says surely if you feel hypo comin on they can deal with it and really they should have meals on board , id make sure you cover all bases re. healthy snack , piece of fruit and a bottle of water , you seem to have all the items for a hypo sorted , worrying about asking for food if it is not mealtime should not be a issue i would of thought not if you tell them your diabetic

thanks guys, i will make a sandwich and take a banana!!.. was worried in case i slept through meal times as going to vegas so need to sleep as much as possible on the way then stay awake for a week!!

See you next week.

Take care.
