Thank you guys for your good wishes, I have a gut feeling that the scan will be good and if it's not so good, well I will deal with it when the time comes, but I'm sure it will be a positive outcome.
Yes, Tia enjoyed her breakfast at her dad's and we are going to relax tonight, I'm having a Curry at 8pm whilst we both watch X Factor:D Sheena

Hi Sheena,

Did you have contrast dye? When I had my third MRI scan to check circulation they injected me with this . It made me a bit shakey for about 30 minutes but a decent cuppa saw me through. This is apparently not uncommon. The other two were for an ongoing back problem.

Regards,

Stephen

I'm so pleased, that the scan went well for you. I hope you get results really soon.

Hi Sheena , sorry only just seen this as at families for weekend and just popped in for a peek on mobile phone , I went with hubby for his mri scan on slipped disc I waited outside whilst he went in , just to warn you its very loud I could hear it outside and although michael wore protection in the form of some sort of musical headphones that are susposed to drown out the soundof the magnets he still came out a bit deaf afterwards , he said apart from the noise its not unpleasant just quite restricting with the space around you x hope this helps , good luck and let uis know how you get on .🙂

Fingers crossed that the results are good Sheena

Hope you enjoyed your Curry/X Factor blowout 🙂

I have read about the dye they inject into the body, but thankfully I didn't have this, as the scan was for all the head and neck area.
I have had the scan( Sat 8am) and it was fine, so just waiting to hear for results. Thanks so much to everyone for your good wishes, it makes me feel warm inside 🙂 Sheena

To everydayupsanddowns, I didn't really enjoy either:( I'm afraid, I overcooked the rice ( it was my fault because I was standing by the cooker reading!) I didn't like the taste of the Tesco curry ( but I am making a chilli today and Lemon Sponge pudding 🙂 and I think the 1st episode of X Factor was over cooked as well😛 Sheena

Hi the MRI scan went well, it's not scary or frightening, it's just very noisy.
It lasted about 30 mins, I kept very still and my legs behaved themselves as well! When you first go in, it looks a bit daunting and the machine was making a loud thumping sound, it reminded me of the Morlocks under dwelling in the original film The Time Machine lol. I don't know when I will get the results and my gut feeling about the results is good. I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. Take care Sheena

oops sorry sheena , thats what i get for popping in on mobile and not being able to read all the post 😱

Hi Sheena I feel for you so much with everything that you're going through at the moment. You're braver than me - when I had the MRI for my shoulder I forgot that I was claustrophobic - as soon as I started going in the tunnel I panicked and didn't stop screaming until they got me out (and I'd gone into it listening to a favourite CD and trying to feel relaxed). I'm keeping everything crossed for you that the results will be clear xxx

Thanks Amanda but, no, I'm not brave. I'm just one of those people who likes to get things out of the way, because at the end of the day, if somethings going to happen, then I'd rather get it over and done with. Anyway I had a letter today from the Dr about the initial consultation , on 10 Aug,and it says,
Diagnosis 1. Ptosis and transient right facial numbness March 2011
2. Probable physiologial anisorica
3. Intermittent headaches
4. Back and shoulder pains, treated for restless legs syndrome
5. Insulin dependent diabetes
at the end of letter it says :- The most likely outcome is that the imaging and blood test will be non - contributory. So I sure everything will be fine.
Hope you are having a good day. Take care Sheena xxx
