For those of you interested in glycaemic index and glycaemic load, I've just read

Brand Miller, J, Foster-Powell, K, Colagiuri, S and Barclay, A (2007)
The New Glucose Revolutions for Diabetes: The Definitive Guide to Managing Diabetes and Prediabetes using the Glycemic Index
Philadelphia: Da Capo Press
ISBN: 978-1-56924-307-7

Aimed at the Canadian and American market so some interpretation of weights and measures needed in places. From Marlowe Diabetes Library. Would be worth trying to borrow from a library but for diabetics used to the glycaemic index it possibly wouldn't add much to what they already knew. Got my copy through http://www.bookdepository.co.uk
