Maybe I am wrong, but I have always thought you only had a glucose drink when your BG was very low, is this the only time?

I ask this because in my friendships I have only one friend who has Type 2, but she treats it with diet and exercise only. She told me today she sometimes gets a very dry mouth and when this happens she has a drink of glucose and is fine.

This puzzles me?

I wouldn't have any glucose drink if I was in range or high but then some don't see anything wrong in ignoring their condition at times, there are also those that just don't bother at all and won't make any changes so until they are ready to do so you just have to leave them to it I'm afraid xx

Thanks Kaylz. She did tell me she hasn’t taken a BG reading in a while, but I don’t think she is ignoring it.

I, on the other hand are really struggling right now.

Although I'm Type 1 I'm always here if you need a chat xx

It would suggest to me if she has a dry mouth she is more likely to be high as opposed to low.
Yes, well I didn’t want to say that to her, but that is another reason I posed the question, thanks
